Figure Skating Abbreviation Practice Tool

Ever see “CCoSp” or “4STh” pop up on screen and wonder what they mean? You’re in the right place! This is a simple tool designed to help skating fans and skaters get comfortable with the technical language of the sport.

How it works:

  1. Pick a discipline (Singles, Pairs, Ice Dance, or Synchro).
  2. Choose your quiz mode.

You can either guess the full element name from the abbreviation or guess the abbreviation from the full name. It’s a great way to practice and test your knowledge. Have fun!

Step 1: Choose Your Discipline

A Quick Note

This tool is a fun practice aid, but with so many elements, there might be a few errors. We’re also aware that symbols for edge calls (e), attention calls (!), bonus calls (b), and quarter-underrotations (q) don’t always appear in the full element names yet. We’re working on a fix for this! 🙂
